Down the mountain

Forgot my USB cable! So I have no way to get photo’s from my camera into my computer….. When will everything go wireless? I am waiting for that day.
Anyway the trip to Tateyama was amazing! Three days in paradise is the best was to describe it. Arrived on Thursday to cloudy weather and spring conditions. Friday was a great day with lots of sun and some dramatic clouds in the valleys. Saturday was cloudy, but good visibility and the spring snow conditions were amazing. We rode some steep sections and the soft slushy snow was super fun to carve in. Then it got cold and started snowing on Saturday afternoon. Yes it snowed all night long and by Sunday morning we had about 15 cm of fresh snow covering the whole mountain! Amazing! It was still snowing while we hiked and rode on Sunday morning. What a blast to have powder for maybe the last day of my riding season. The visibility was rough for taking pictures, but I made sure to enjoy the last ride down. Ahhhh love that pow.
So today I am back in Tokyo for meetings, meetings, meetings. Not my favorite part of the business…. Will try to stop by a camera store and pick up a USB cable. Should have some pictures up for you later tonight!

That is nutty. We had a powder day on Sunday in Seattle. About half-foot of new snow at Alpental, on May 11. What the hell?

Nice! What exactly is going on with the weather? Super warm early spring and now cold and snowing…..Weird. I won’t complain though, I got to ride powder even if it was only for one last run!
