Absolute computer overdoes for the last few days…. that has kept me from making a blog update. After editing all day long from 9am to midnight I was too drained to even think about posting something and of course there is very little to post about when all I do is sit in front of a computer all day long…..
Hayato of the Danchi crew finally stopped by for his interview and help out with editing for a little bit. He stayed for two days and was a big help. It can be so hard to make editing decisions when I am alone. It is good to have someone to bounce ideas off of.
So we worked on his part as well as Mutsuo and Yamauchi’s sections. The rough cuts are coming along still have a little less then half of the guys to work on. It seems to take a full day to get one section to a pretty decent state. That means visually about 90% done. I try to do that for all the sections before moving on to things like color correction and audio mixing etc., Want to have a look at the whole movie as a whole before getting into the details.
For a short break and a little exersize decided to cut the weeds around the house. Check the before and after!
Other then that have been watching the news at meal times checking out the latest wacko murder story that is all over the news. 25 year old Virgin male goes nuts and kills 7 people with a rental truck and knife in Tokyo’s Akihabara. Hayato and I named him the Cherry Boy killer. For those outside Japan you can check out the story here. The lead in to the story is a classic, “If only I had a girlfriend, I wouldn’t have quit work,” a quote from the killer. For what it cost this guy to rent a truck he could have “rented” a girlfriend for an hour or two and saved the lives of 7 innocent people … Ok now here you can watch a girl in a maid costume making an amateur news report at the scene of the crime, classic Akihabara. And here is the amazing footage by a camera man who just happened to be right at the scene at the time the Cherry Boy was finally caught by the police.
