Seattle Premier of CD3 is reviewed!

Posted by Neil Hartmann on November 20, 2008

Just got a nice email from Graham Mueller who pointed me to a review he did of the Seattle premier and Car Danchi 3. The review is on the Snowboarder.com website, click here to read the whole thing. I put a little teaser intro below. Thanks to Graham and everyone who showed up for the showing at Snocon. I was bummed that I couldn’t be there, sounded like a good time with free Asahi beer and Sushi! Next year hope to be able to put together some kind of a little tour in the US, at least in the Pacific Northwest where Car Danchi seems to be gaining a grass roots following.

Powder is an elusive beast. You could wait around your home resort for it to come to you, with the possibility of getting skunked for weeks on end. Or you could let the weatherman be your travel agent, potentially sinking yourself under more debt than pow. Bridging the gap is Japan’s Car Danchi crew (in English: car apartment). Their latest release, Car Danchi 3: A Powder Celebration, chronicles their lives for one winter as they drive their homes in search of the deep white. I was lucky enough to catch the true US premiere at Seattle’s Snowboard Connection and these guys are really on to something.

Cool review. Tell me if you want to pay for my trip to the premiere next year to shoot it for you!

Joking aside, nice to see that you’re getting coverage abroad. Keep it powdery, Neil.

  2. Damn. I blew it in missing this one. Nonetheless, the film is incredible.
