Slow Motion

Looking forward to the release of the new Casio camera, that can shoot slow motion like this. I used a lot of the slow motion footage in Car Danchi 4 and loved it. I hear the new camera is going to be much more compact and rugged. Would love to have one that is pocket size…

Sony @900 is on sale

The new Sony high-end SLR camera is on sale now, the Alpha 900, 24 mega pixels!  What exactly does that mean?  Nikon’s D700 which I bought recently only has 12mp.  Can’t wait to shoot some comparison pictures.  From what I have heard and read looks like the 900 is a solid camera and could be a real good option for someone who either already has access to Minolta Lenses, or is just getting into photography in a serious way.  You can read a full tech review here. Or you can go to Sony’s site and check out more photos….

Burton camera bag!

Got the new Burton AK camera bag!  had been waiting for a good upgrade on their camera bag for a few years.  I liked the one they had for the last few years, but it was a little small for all the gear I carry.  This time they made the bag big enough for a full day back-country mission with a lot of camera gear.

The main access to the camera section is from the back so you can get your gear out even with snowboard or snowshoes strapped to the bag.  There is also a large section on the top for lunch, film or what ever you pack in.

The pocket on the front has enough space and padding for a lap top computer in case you need to check your email on the gondola!

You don’t have to be a professional shooter to use this bag, but if you only carry a single SLR or small camera around then it will be over kill.  The classic 80’s vintage coloring is all the rage now so I decided to go with this version.  Of course you might want to keep it chill with the all black version or a slightly smaller version that comes in Camo.  Check the Burton web site for details.  I hear that these bags are selling out fast in Japan if you want one I would move fast.
